Do you have a video cam? Everyone go on the video giving Gran some birthday wishes, and perhaps telling of something special they remember sharing with her over the years.

How about a photograph of all the family together.

We did this just before my mother in law died and we are

so glad that we had that last photo of us all to remember.

She loved showing it off and used to call it the picture of her tribe.

I got my grandmother a beautiful tray on which to take her meals to the couch (to watch the television). If your gram eats in the same glamorous way (actually, as many seniors do), a pretty TV tray might be nice... My grandmother LOVES hers!

I guess it depends on what her living arrangements are?

If she is still at home, perhaps a scented candle -

Or a gift card to her favorite grocery store . . .

Always a nice card is appreciated - which she can look at, over and over (we tend to do that stuff).

i would say something like a nice warm blanket or a comfortable robe or something of the sort. the elderly like to be warm and comfortable.

My grandma will be 90 next month I got her a silver keepsake box and had it engraved with "Happy 90th Birthday Grandma" Might try something like that

Something pretty to keep her warm, like gloves or a scarf. Seniors are always cold. The other thing is prepared food item that they can just heat or put into their microwave if they live at home. Otherwise some baked goods or treats that she would never buy for herself.

My mother-in-law lived to be 92 and it was difficult buy her gifts because her needs were so limited. She always loved pretty clothes and appreciated something new to wear. Maybe you Grandma would appreciate a new outfit? Most of all she will enjoy having you there for her party. Have fun!

As people age they tend to shop less and get chilled more. A nice light sweater is always good. At this stage in life, we certainly don't need more things so fresh flowers which can be seen as an extravagant treat will certainly brighten her day and not require her to maintain or store them later.

I agree with CC good idea. For X-mas My Kids gave me a portrait of the 10 of them. I smile every morning when I look at them. My Grandchildren look so beautiful. My son and daughter the husband and wife, and my 6 little rag muffins. What a joy.

Am not 92 but here are a few things I would like......A .Digital Photo Frame with a slide show of my love ones.......It would be nice to see pictures on it from my youth, my parents up to the day of the party and including the party....I also like it when one of my grandchildren, sons or husband remembers to buy me a corsage......

Bed clothes. A bed jacket if she is so inclined but my guess and experience with our seniors is just what she says is true and enjoy making the fuss over the day and help to make sure everything is put in its place and she is not over tired. Bless you for the attention.

I think a nice blooming plant would be lovely. Lots of them do not take too much attention.
