Have you used any of these programs before? If not, then here is what I'd suggest:

Microsoft Word 2007; this is the word processing program, and the 2007 version is fairly common now. Taking this one is a good way to become familiar with the Microsoft software.

Microsoft Excel 2007; as the others have suggested, this spreadsheet program is very useful and commonly used by businesses.

For your 3rd choice; you will need to think about what type of work you are searching for.

Outlook is the e-mail program; and I think that if you can use Word then learning Outlook is simple and you may not need the class.

Access is a database program. If you might be doing data entry, or tasked with building a database then you might want this class. I have never used Access because other people build databases and they use a different program. However; it isn't bad to know how to use this program.

Powerpoint is a program used to put together presentations. My husband and I both use this program often.

Outlook 2007

Excel 2007

Word 2007

the basic programs in a business office. It is hard to know which version a prospective employer has but you may as well take the latest ones. If you cant get into the 2007 I would still take the older version.

I would do Power Point next and Access last since they are more demanding. Outlook won't take long to learn since it is only a facilitator for emails and appointments. I found Excel and the advanced features in Word a bit trying.

Abortion is a phony issue in the US. I don't mean it isn't a serious problem that we could argue about, but the whole way politicians talk about it is designed to get people angry at each other. They don't want to SOLVE the problem, they only want to EXPLOIT it, and to do that they want to keep it alive forever. When abortion first was designed as a political issue, in the 1980 presidential campaign of Ronald Reagan, Christians allowed abortions in three cases--rape, incest, and danger to the health (not necessarily the -life-) of the mother. The problem with this is that it brought up the instance you suggest here. Also the question arose: If there -are- cases where abortion is allowable, shouldn't it be decided by the woman, her doctor, her minister, her husband and family, instead of by the state? Because they were only trying to exploit the issue, many Christians and conservative politicians decided these exceptions were too easy. So they did away with the exceptions. Today they argue that abortion is an acceptable solution only if the mother's actual life is in danger. An embryo conceived by rape, they say, is still a human being, and deserving of all the rights and privileges appertaining thereto. By adopting this extreme stance, Fundamentalist leaders and conservative politicians have guaranteed that the issue will not be solved any time soon, it will remain exploitable for years and years.

Most offices I would think have the latest version of windows so I would choose the 2007 version. It depends on what kind of job you are looking for but I would think learning excel would be most beneficial. With word you can easily learn that on your own but with excel you can learn how to create spreadsheets, etc. which is very handy and a good thing to have on your resume.

Both versions (i.e 2003 & 2007) perform the same functions with minor differences. They are tools to perform certain tasks in your work field (reports, presentations, table sheets, databases). I know some friends who are still working with MS Office 1997 pack and they are doing all their tasks efficiently. Another suggestion is to follow the most recent version if you are the kind of person who loves to keep track of new developement, thus it will be more easier for you to use the coming versions since the changes will be insignificant.

For potential jobs: Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. You will need all three. Access is rarely needed and is difficult to learn on your own.
