Call me crazy if you would like to, but I think there may actually be some weird truth to that wacky new-age idea that in some mystical way we attract to ourselves those kinds of things that we fill our minds with.

And so, for many years now, I have refused to allow my mind to be dumbed-down and polluted with the incredibly vapid fantasies and candy-colored, homogenized, sugar-coated crap-o-tainment that is relentlessly fed to the slack-jawed, hypnotized, cross-eyed consumers of TV programming.

And I think I made the right decision. I don't feel nearly as stupid as I used to in the days when I watched TV.

No, not every night. I simply do not enjoy TV as much as I once did.

I have not heard of the shows you mentioned. Are you in England?

I loved Johnny Carson's sense of humor. Barack Obama would be a good replacement for him.

I watch the same things every day, Law and Order especially the early ones. I have watched it for 20 years. I watch Peoples Court every day. I watch Maigret in French. I watch Perry Mason in the morning. For news I watch RT and The Young Turks. They have great interviews, documentaries, exposes. And last but not least, any episode of Inspector Morse or Foyle's War and TCM movies.

I used to watch the Animal Cops shows but cannot watch any more as well as the ads showing animals in horrible condition. I cant handle the emotions any more.

I watch FoxNews Network off and on in evenings. Shephard Smith is my favorite host. I like Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Alphas, Revenge, and last but not least Shepherd's Chapel Network bible study. I also like the History Channel and Pawn Stars on occasion. I'm not too much in all the younger set tv shows anymore. They come off as being empty headed to me, but that is just my opinion.

Yes - much, too much TV....

I enjoy the Daily Show & the Colbert Report for information & humor. I am finally watching an old short lived series called Dead Like Me - about a girl who dies and becomes a 'grim reaper' with a team of others who must work this job - satire, comedy created by Bryan Fuller. I watch MNF in the fall. I prefer humor, satire when I can find it. I like some of the old movies on AMC & TCM. I watch the Walking Dead. I mostly record different series that come on at night & will watch at other hours or just delete without watching.

I also enjoy cooking shows. I will record old Jacques Pepin or Julia Child. I like the Iron Chefs - original & the American versions. Alton Brown is also a fav. Cooking is one of my hobbies.

Used to record Jimmy Fallon too. I sometimes watch the Leno monolog..

I watch far less than I used to. Today, I mostly watch documentaries and probably the six pm news and COPS. Afterwards, I'll probably catch AFV or "Big Bang Theory." Mostly, I prefer listening to my radio; talk shows and Christian programming.

I used to be on Facebook, but cancelled my account a year and a half ago. Tooo much narcissism. "Look at MEEE!!!" It doesn't give me a good feeling to be among such self-centeredness..

Our together time - is watching evening television.

We have never watched daytime television.

We do our best to work in NBA basketball along with the following - programs on one or the other PBS stations..

The History Detectives

Antiques Roadshow

Mid Summers Murders

Sherlock Holmes

Perot

Inspector Lewis

Last of the Summer Wine

Ballykissangel

Doc Martin

Last of the Summer Wine

New Tricks

Rosemary and Thyme

Funniest Home Videos

I love - love British acting and their programs are the best - with captions turn on.

We watch a movie once in a while - when there is nothing else on.

No action stuff - it has to be feel good stuff.

DeeJay - never watch - NBC - CBS or ABC - programing - just sports.

It's on, but we watch DVDs usually and not regular series. Tonight we watched Deadwood, which my husband watched last time he was laid up after knee surgery. I though it looked interesting so now I'm giving it a go. I'm still waiting anxiously for all the seasons of Breaking Bad, Dexter and Mad Men that I've missed!

I don't have cable TV - just the free-to-air programmes . Each week i look at the TV guide and write down what I might watch. This usually consists of about one or two things each evening. I like to watch a few documentary series, like the David Attenborogh programmes ( we've got "Life in Cold Blood" showing at the moment) . Also "Big Bang Theory", and "Survivor" when it is on. Any British comedy is always welcome, and of course "Downton Abbey" is a big favorite.

We have a couple of really good shows where current interest topics are discussed - last night there was one where several servicemen were discussing the emotional effects of serving in places like Afghanistan.

We watch DVD's that we get from the library, and otherwise we watch shows on our computers.

PS I do agree with Bakshi - if you watch a lot of rubbish, your brain becomes rubbish.

I now live in Hungary and most of the tv shows on our cable network are not in English.

They do show some classic movies here in English but I usually just watch netflix on my computer with my earphones on.

I see you like the show Revenge, I am almost finished watching that on netflix, they only have season 1, don't know how many season that show was on.

I usually watch about 3 hours of netfilx a night, maybe I will be watching more hours in the winter months when we stay in more.

I don't mind watching older dated shows as I missed everything as well when I was working, I am only 57 but not working right now as we are not home.

There are allot of shows on the tv here from the US even South Park plays here,I don't watch it on the tv but I have heard the Hungrian version is even more rude then the original show.

TV is pretty much a wasteland.

I enjoy The Big Bang Theory. Sometimes watch the news, but prefer to read the news.

Yes, I do enjoy movies with an intelligently-written script. Don't care for "action" movies.

I have only 3 - 4 weekly shows I watch. I did watch all the debates. Living in Miami Beach, it is much more fun to go out in the evening and enjoy the ocean walk, Ocean Drive, South Beach with the tourists or the Lincoln Road shops. In the winter when it is dark early, I enjoy just sitting on the deck listening to the ocean. I also read a lot.

I too enjoy watch The Voice. I'm getting rather tired of DWTS - especially this season. I like to watch Hoarders, Masterpiece Theatre, Call the Midwife, Downton Abbey, Celebrity Ghost Stories, Wipeout, etc. I like a variety of shows. If there is nothing on that interests me, I usually will watch reruns of old shows or pop in a DVD.

Just about every evening we'll see if we can find a good movie to watch. My wife has been hooked on westerns lately so the first place we look is the western channel. Some times I'll turn on the other set and watch a ball game.

About 5 nights a week for 2 to 3 hours if there are good dramas on. CBS has the best in my opinion.

If there's anything good to watch I'll watch it. I like Mysteries at the Museum, and a couple of other ones. Am looking forward to Gold Rush and another show based in Alaska. I've got DVDs I haven't watched yet, War Horse is one of them, need to bring the DVD player into the living room.

5.5 isnt small the average size of a full grown penis is 6inches. Also, if you started puberty late you might still have some growing left even though most people stop growing around 21 or 22. Any more questions just email me.

depends on what is on. there are many nights I read or listen to the stereo instead. find it easier to work cleaning the apartment if I don't have the television on because of the tendency to sit and watch rather than to keep working.

No, don't have a TV and don't care to have one, can't hear it anyway. I get a lot of mail, more than I can read, and read books.
