Just purchased a home in a 55+ active community in Sussex county, Delaware. It will serve as a second home. It's less than a quarter mile from the ocean, and as you may or may not know, Delaware is a tax free state. I still currently live & work in a suburb of New York City. Trip is less than four hours. Plus places like Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philly, Atlantic City, N. J. are all with in 90 mins. Cape May, just a ferry ride away.

Well, the last time we visited China, we brought home a Baby Girl. She's 12 now and expects everything out of us that the other kids expect of their parents---most of the parents are younger then my grown up kids. Since we had lived in a lot of places we decided to settle down and raise our daughter in Austin, Texas--Just about the center of Texas.
An aside: Being in Arkansas you might know of Blancherd Springs Cave. I helped to explore, map and photograph Blanchard about 40 years ago. We worked, along with others, exploring and mapping for years on weekends. When I was working Branson, my wife taught school in BlueEye Missouri, just a hop from the Arkansas Boarder.

I retired after years working as an nurse for the National health service in England .I had always had an interest in photography and music and now work as a rock music photographer. it is great! I can work when i like and get to meet bands and see gigs for free.I have a pension from the NHS and a state pension so i have that to fall back on and living in London if you are over 60 you get free travel on all services within London. There are many galleries museums free concerts and lots of stuff going on all the time here and I would never do what my parents did, retire to the country as now my mum is stuck as she is now on her own in the middle of nowhere and doesn't drive and she is 85.

I retired not to sit around in any one place, I travel a lot and try to see as much of the world as I can. I pity the senior citizens who retire and just sit around and just waiting to die of old age.
