There are a lot of ways you could try searching for people you have lost contact with. I assume you are Dutch, but "in den vreemde"? You could try writing to the program "Spoorloos" and tell them who you are looking for and they'll do the searching for ya. They are really good at it and will find just about anyone. There is also "Vermist" and "Opsporing Verzocht", but they have a different agenda. They occupy mostly with people that have disappeared and such. However, they also do reunions of long lost family members and old friends. I would start at Spoorloos. If you go on their website, you'll see that you have to write them a letter to tell them about yourself and the people you a looking for. Of course, you can simply look in the phone book (on the web) also and type in the names of the people you knew in Meppel. Good luck.
