I think a "Class Act" is someone who behaves and treats others with kindness and respect, even if the person doesn't seem to deserve it.

I would consider myself a class act. I'd like to leave the world a better place than it was when I got here. I don't know if I'll have much impact but I hope I can.

Class as an optimum is defined by the average of the group you ask. Sometimes a "Class Act" defines someone who is way out of the norm! So I would say you would need to clarify what your definition of a "Class Act" is.

I would probably be one to some people from varying viewpoints?

I charge $100 to come into my house and watch my act. Some people even think I have class!

Someone who carries themself in a manner that earns the respect and admiration of those who meet them. I think being polite, courteous, sincere, and positive lead to being considered a class act.

I try to be a class act, but sometimes it's just easier to be a jerk.

I am a class act and civil to all. But when I encounter a blithering idiot or a smart mouth or someone crosses me or cheats me they'd better watch their step.

I think Mr. Fannerman's answer is the correct one. I try very hard to be that person, but I wind up being the "class clown" instead.
