People talking during a concert. The last one I went to the women behind me talked all through the performances and would stop talking every time the singers would stop singing. Then when they started singing again the women would start talking again. Finally I turned around and told them I paid to hear the concert not them blabbing. Another one is the so-called loud rap music coming from a car that just pulled up beside me at the light. The other day I turned my hearing aids down and turned my country music up as loud as it would go. The young creep next to me gave me a kind of snarl so I snarled back. They need to learn not to mess with the baby boomers, we won't take their crap.

Argue over stupid things. I have three grandsons living here with me, with their mothers as well. The kids are 11, 14, and 15 years old. The latest is to get into heated arguments over the dumbest stuff -- like how many Pokemon have gone by on the screen since the beginning of the movie (that one was just today). Or whether or not they looked crosseyed at the dog. Or what exactly they meant when they told the other one that they were "a hary toad"....

So yeah--listening to heated arguments over stupid things is my worst pet peeve.

My pet peeve is people who slurp up as gospel fact any drivel that they hear on FOX "news".... and think that all the other sources of news are a pack of lies.

It is hard to believe that Americans would be adapting the basic political beliefs of the Saudi Prince and Rupert Murdoch who are the owners of FOX "news" and closely control the ultra-conservative ranting that is broadcast by their company.

There was a time that people realized that the very rich are more comfortable in the role of robber barons....and Teddy Roosevelt and other leaders moved to place government regulations in place which prevented the robber barons from bleeding the country dry.

The current conservative leaders now propose that we allow the robber barons free reign....conveniently ignoring the fact that the robber barons will continue to run their companies because they make a PROFIT from doing so....and they will do it whether or not they have to pay taxes on the profits.

So, the folks who slurp up and believe all that stuff on FOX "news" are doing nothing but using their votes to make themselves even poorer than they are, and are destroying the future of our country, and are making us more like a South American country every day....with a few very, very rich....and everyone else struggling just to survive on a daily basis.

Cell phone talkers....everywhere!!!

In the check out lines, the restaurants, the beach, church, schools, etc..

I drove by a school bus stop the other day and there must have been 8 teenagers waiting for the bus. Everyone of them was either talking on a cell or texting. They look kind of funny, all in a group but no one talking to each other, just looking down at their cell phones.

People who ask, "You know what I'm saying?" [Yes, I understand the language.] And start out anything they say with "Okay, so..." [I think saying 'okay' first is from this generation of parents who have explained the way things are gonna be, ending it with 'okay?' as if they're asking permission.] And the "actually" too often heard. And the misuse of "take" and "bring". And people who clear their throats on the phone.

Hi Pansyblue, yes me too with the cell phone thing especially at the meal table, ooh no.

Also the tendency to say 'amazing' at the slightest hint of something being mildly agreeable and don't get me started when it comes to bad manners !!!

People who don't know the difference between THEY'RE/THEIR/THERE, WEAR/WHERE/WERE/WARE, HERE/HEAR, ARE/OUR, YOUR/YOU'RE, EXCEPT/ACCEPT, ETC/ECT, WHETHER/WEATHER, CAVALRY/CALVARY, and other words like that.

Then there are the people who FWD you something but are too lazy to get rid of the other 100 or so addresses. Or, those who send you something that has been 'CHECKED BY SNOPES AND IS TRUE'. I always go to SNOPES and TRUTHORFICTION and find out that NO one has checked it because both sites say HOAX or FALSE. I just got one of those from my wife's friend. I went to SNOPES & TRUTHORFICTION. I replied to her (and EVERYONE she sent that nonsense to) and gave her the link. She emailed my wife aout how I made her look like a fool because I clicked REPLY ALL! hahahaha Dumb broad!

When people on cell phones think that everyone needs to hear them talk. Why do they need to yell as if the other person is a mile away and doesn't have a phone.

My biggest pet peeve is when I see people in a 15 mi. an hour and no passing school zone driving fast and carelessly and passing people by. I get so rattled about this that I feel like shouting out an expletive and I am a Christian woman.

People who use the F-word in public and in front of women and children, someone should have taught them better.

When we're eating out and the server calls us "you guys", I grit my teeth. I hate it when I can't find my kitchen scissors. And when I do find them, they're all sticky because he used them to open up a popsicle. Yes, he has scissors in a jar of odds and ends right in front of him, but he forgets.

I know it a bit anal of me but, I hate hearing people say, "I could care less." When it's I couldn't care less.. I don't know why it bothers me but, it seems to be the most misused phrase in the world..
