I was and still am a hard core Dark Shadows fan...
Or was it another show...?? Please tell me about it? What was it that made it so special to you?

Oh by all means Dark Shadows, my dahling. It was on at 2:30 in the afternoon and during summer didn't miss an episode, even though it scared the hell out of me at times. I was drawn to it, I think, because of the supernatural, which maybe helped start me on the path I'm on, rather than Star Trek being sci-fi---except for the Tribbles--that was my favorite episode.

Although I liked Star Trek more than Dark Shadows, What really got me was The Saint starring Sir Roger Moore. Just to clarify, I was a fan of The Saint from the first time I saw George Sanders play the role in an old film on the telly in the mid 1950s.

I'm a Star Trek junkie but I loved Dark Shadows even more!
I used to rush home after school so I could watch it every day. It used to come on at 4pm. I was so disappointed when it ended. I'd love to watch that whole series again.
You'll be happy to hear they are making a Dark Shadows movie!
It's supposed to start filming in London sometime this year and Johnny Depp will portray Barnabas Collins and it's being directed by Tim Burton!
I can't wait until that comes out because it should be great!
(You can't go wrong with Johnny and Tim).
Did I make your day with this Dark Shadows newsflash, Lol?

Star Trek.I have never seen a single episode of Dark Shadows.I always thought of Dark Shadows as the Addams Family trying to be serious.

Dark Shadows! I would still like to buy an old stone house on the Maine Coast and invite a few of the more interesting neighbors to drop by.

I wasn't really a Trekkie but did watch it on occasion. I didn't watch Dark Shadows since , in my mind, it was like my grandma watching "Edge of Night" or Secret Storm. Never have been one much for soap operas which is kinda what Dark Shadows was.
However, there was a blond female on that show that I thought looked pretty hot and I think she was some kind of enemy of Barnabas or something like that.

I liked Lost In Space more than Star Trek and always liked Dark Shadows even though it moved rather slowly.

Star Trek caught my fancy. Space travel and the future, that was much more interesting than a vampire in a soap opera.

Dark Shadows every after noon-I loved the music and the acting was so bad, but it was fun to watch. Angelique was so pretty and Quentin was hot.

Dark Shadows.
I used to watch it after school with my older sister, it was great to have something in common with her as a kid since she was 5 years older then me.
We were on a level playing ground when watching that show together.

Loved BOTH of them, but Star Trek had a more lingering effects simply because of all the repeats and subsequent "stuff."
Have a Seasoned day.

Star Trek... the dream of mankind stepping out into space. Yes trek is fantasy.... but the moon landing wasn't... and we never went back... or on to other planets either.
