I believe no matter what your age, it's always a good idea to try to set a good example for someone younger than you. People often learn by example.

Silly, of course it is; that is, assuming you want to. In other words, it should be, but if you have to ask, I can only wonder what being a senior means to you.
I have no problem trying to be a good example, because i am considered an old "prude" who still believes in kindness and good manners, and that "what goes around comes around".
Hey, before toooooo long we will be answering the question "what have you done to deserve entering the pearly gates".

Well...if the older citizens don't set the example for the younger generation, then who's left to do so? ... Infants?

It's our job as human beings, not just senior citizens to be an example/role model to everyone. You can still learn even when you're old, be a lifetime learner and a lifetime role model.

Many come to this sight questioning we are a team of invalids, not waiting to take a seat down up or feed ourselves, not to show answer a query. they're fairly cowards, poking relaxing and then slinking back into their dark little crevices quite of offering something of properly worth. There are some who pass to, make contributions something priceless, respond in a deferential way and pass on. those would be our leaders sometime.

If you are a good example you are a role model at any age. Seniors are no exception

Absolutely, they have the most life experiences, and they should be able to impart that wisdom and guidance to the youth of today, setting good examples and goals.

Phooey on that noise..this is our time to let loose and have a life, free of children and all the stuff we have had to put up with our entire lives...as I have seen, the only role models youth has is gangsta rappers...not my idea of the ideal.

Everyone should try to be the best he or she can and set an example of how to behave.
