Yes, and it was a wee little joke I received in an email from you. haha

I have always believed that a person who has the ability to make people laugh are blessed with a wonderful talent. Who could dislike a person that makes them laugh ? Who doesn't want to be liked by people ? Laughter, to me is the best medicine, and I find that medicine plentiful and free at YA in the senior citizen group. I toast all of you for your ability to at least put a smile on my face every day.

It works for me! I try to find something to laugh about everyday, even if I don't feel like laughing. Like all of us, at one time or another, I have had days when I just feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders. But, the minute someone makes me laugh, I feel energized & ready to conquer the world!

To me, the greatest asset someone can have is a great sense of humor! Laughter IS truly the best medicine!

I love the Seniors category for this reason, because I have yet to visit and not see something that made me laugh!

Suzie, we know that we can always count on you to put a smile on our faces!!!!

Well Suzie, not too sure that laughter is the 'BEST' Medicine in the world. But it is certainly close to the top. I love a good laugh and the last time this happened to me, was when you sent me a joke!

Thanks - have a star!

Hugs

Not only can be -- but is. I think that all you have pointed out puts things in a perspective that this is just another challenge to overcome. All these things work to bring the flu to a manageable level for people and reduce the feeling that they can do nothing to protect themselves. On a deeper level, this response points out the resiliency of the human spirit and the fact that we can handle anything.

Indeed it is a "healing" thing, second only to the act of forgiveness.

Laughter will save you from yourself, I laugh every day, I have a good laugh every single day, of course I work at a Mental Health center, so there is comedy in abundance....but never because I am laughing at someone, but rather laughing with them.

Laughter is indeed the "best medicine." It's so sad that more people don't know how to laugh. I always have a good laugh when I'm around my grandchildren. My eight year old granddaughter especially, makes me laugh with some of the things that come out of her mouth. Out of the mouths of babes they say.

edit: Morgan....That makes me laugh too!

Laughter really is the best medicine! When my 3 year old grand-daughter was playing around on our computer she got stuck in a routine she didn't mean to enter. I heard her saying something in the back room where the computer is, but I was being asked a question and didn't pay much attention. Suddenly we hear this shrill little voice yelling "Hey! You people! I need a little help in here." I just about peed myself laughing. She finally came out and looked at me sternly and said, "Grandma! You were supposed to help me! But I had to fix it myself. Big help!" I had to dash for the bathroom. 3 years old. I fear for us when she gets to school age.

Positive outlook , prayer and Laughter!

We were trying to think of a name for my dear girl friends soon to be baby, and their last name is Brown ...and we got on a roll ...with all the shades of Brown, What a Hoot!...Sienna Tawny Brown, Capachino Mocha Brown, Tawny Oak brown...Hazel almond brown... The names People Give their Children These Days ...No Offense We, My Family, and I were crying with laughter!

I certainly do. I get a lot of laughs at some of the stuff posted in YA.

And there is nothing like a good going fit of the giggles. One I had was with a friend and our kids. There were actually two conversations going at the one time. One was with the girls on making pom-poms. The other was with the boys about guns and different types of bullets. And everyone was half listening to the other. Somehow pom-poms and dumdum bullets got mixed up. That led to mental images of opposing forces opening fire on each other and being blasted with little woolly pom-poms. Things just went from bad to worse and we all ended up in complete fits of the giggles.

Live long, laugh often

Maybe not the best, but close.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine (somewhere in Proverbs).

I can't think of any good laughs at the moment, but there have been many!

I enjoy making other people laugh and there is no better subject matter for making jokes then ones about me. You can cry if you want to but laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone. So I can find humor in just about anything.

Oh you know it wee cousin !!! It never takes much to make me laugh ! I get some really good jokes in the e-mail box, and more right here from you !! I could get technical and say things like. . . Endorphins are endogenous opioid polypeptide compounds. They are produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates during strenuous exercise,[1] excitement, pain, and orgasm,[2][3] and they resemble the opiates in their abilities to produce analgesia and a sense of well-being. Endorphins work as "natural pain relievers", whose effects may be enhanced by other medications.. . . but I won't. . . LOL LOL LOL

Absolutely, inequitably... YES!!!

It's even been proven by the medical society.

I don't think there's a day goes by that I don't have a good laugh.

Trouble it's caused, just a bit. But well worth it.

#1 rule in laughter -- never laugh "at" anyone.

But, what they do is fair game.

And, if you can laugh at yourself, then everything else just falls into place.

So much more fun.

yes, I enjoy laughing because it makes me feel good. My cat and granddaughter are both stand-up comedians. I love watching these two together. It really is hysterical. They have my wife and I laughing until we are wiping tears away. Not only is there laughter but so much love too. Have a good day Suzie....

Well I don't know about the best medicine in the world but a good belly wrenching rolling on the floor laugh has certainly taken my mind off of other things less savory in life. Well that's my 2 pfennigs. Good luck to you.

Yes indeed, laughter is great medicine. It has been proven to cure disease when conventional medicine fails. A certain person here makes me laugh every day with his ridiculous rants and pompA$$ preaching.

It's also funny how he claims to have graduated from two colleges but seems to be nearly illiterate and keeps changing his age, hometown, etc...every day. Having so many accounts you can't keep up with them is so funny!

I have always loved to laugh. I watch Ron White for a good laugh or the four comedians on their road tour. I read jokes, talk with my friends, or spend time with my grandchildren who always make me laugh. When I need a real belly laugh, I watch NBC or CNN which give their own spin on the news.

It has to be very close to the best. What a world of difference, a smile or laugh can make. Pets, children and just people who enjoy humor and life can make us laugh. Think you are one of them!

Absolutely. Yes.

I was watching an old silent film the other night, and the captioning read, " I'll hit her so hard she'll starve to death bouncing".

It struck me as hilarious for some reason. you don't hear lines like that. Priceless.
