This is about as direct as I can word it.
What I really wanted to know before was
did you ever have a muscle car and what
kind was it? but I worded it wrong and
got a violation for CHATTING. So Just
MAYBE I can get some answers without
a violation. Sorry to those who answered the "other" question, you
probably lost your points. and I really
liked the answers too.

We've been driving Ford Aerostars for the last several years.

They are dependable, even tho they really take the gas.

Before that, we had a black BMW. Don't remember the

year or the model. But it drew alot of stares at the stop lights. Before the BMW he drove a Caddie, and we've had Cordobas when they were still being made. My favorite car

that we ever owned, was a 58 Chevy White Impala. That

really caught the eyes. I used to envy the boy next door who

owned one, that was a convertible. I always expected him to

drive home with a girl in the car next to him. But there never

was. I'd watch him wash and wax that car on Saturdays, and

wish he'd take me for a ride. But I was just a kid to him, and

he never asked me. So the day I got one of my own, I was

walking on air. It's still a beautiful car today when I see one

at a stop light, or driving by. Now that was an automobile.

My dad owned a garage and I could rebuild any thing on the lot in the nineteen fifties and sixties. It didn’t take long for me to get over power cars and all their trappings. It was just too expensive and I didn’t care much for racing. I guess I’m not much of a red neck but I do appreciate those people. They have come up with some good ideas through out the years. My idea of a muscle care is one that will hold up for years and get me from point A to point B and back safely without break downs.

We had a Mazda Miata, a Jeep Wrangler, a Toyota PU, a Dodge Grand Caravan, and a Yamaha Vino. Before that, we owned just a Dodge Grand Caravan ... different year and color. Before that, we had a Chevy Cavalier and a Mazda Navajo. Before that, we had a class-c RV and an old Chevy PU. Before that, we had just the PU. Is this considered chatting? Because, we always had several vehicles for several different reasons. We have owned a Camaro and a Firebird. I've had an AMC Javelin and a Trans-Am. We like driving and riding...what can I say.

Do you have family around that can maybe get the kids on the weekend to give you a break? Sounds like you and your husband are in need of a vacation. From what you have said it sounds like the communication between you two have been broken. And you want to be more independent and not so needy for him. Hopefully, he is not cheating because you didn't mention that, so if its work that have consumed his time it will make your situation much different. Try if you can to get a family member if possible to get the kid for awhile. Dress up real nice (not just for him MORE for you). Seems like your lacking some self confidence that you probably had before. Start showing your self more love. While he is working and your home with the kids. Look online for some execrises to do. Not only will getting a work out routine make you feel better you will also start to improve in areas that might spark a interest in him. (mentally and physically). Not having your own money is very hard when you have to depend on someone. Many people will take advantage of this situation. Try to become more dependent Check out you local county services. Like the GoodWill if there one around. They have training classes of all sorts and sometimes they even help with daycare. Or maybe inquire about some daycares close to you. Where you can get employment and also have childcare for your two little ones. Lastly, stop beating you self down its not attractive to anyone. Don't make excuses for yourself. I can't say what road you will choose to follow but, find something, start a path. Sitting around and not moving is not going to change him or anything for you. Start with you first make little changes about you. Try to not complain about what he doesn't do and praise him for what he do. You can't change him he can only want to change for himself. Try to make his time at home welcoming, make him want to come home to a comfortable home with his loving wife and kids. I think if he sees a difference in you he will make an effort. If you plan on staying with him then you will have to see where it goes from here.

Before the first youngun came along: had a 67 Camaro with a 350 (triple deuces). Beautiful car, left many a Mercedes and Audi on the Autobahn starting line (course it only hit about 115-120, so down the road a few miles the Mercedes and Audi drivers would pass with sighs of relief). --- Kids came along and ended up trading it in on a 74 Impala station wagon with all the bells and whistles.

The hotest car I had was a 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Fastback with a 390 cubic inch engine. It looked like the Torino that year but had less chrome. Got stolen when I moved to NJ.

I drive a Toyota Avalon now and it will run with the best of them. Have had it up to 95 and it felt like 60.

A 1997 Cadillac Deville with about one hundred ten thousand miles on it. I never owned a "muscle car" or any other sports car. The closest I ever got was a used right-hand drive Toyota I owned in Japan. A friend in the Air Force repainted it with black paint he had out at the flight line. Turned out it was the paint used for the exterior of the SR-71 spy plane. I had the only "stealth" car in Japan. Radar didn't register trying to pick me up. LOL!

Actually I answered this one before ...they actually deleted your question? DUH

anyway I have a 2006 Chev Aveo...4 small squirrels and runs on almost pennies a day...My first car ( I started driving later than most) was a 1967 rambler, it was an old Game Wardens car so had a really cool chrome spotlight among other gadgets...built like a tank. oh and it was a lovely shade of yucky beige but it could go through snow like a 4x4.

I currently own a 92 Jeep Cherokee... Baa Baa Black Jeep. ;+)

I also drive a '76 Honda 750 motorcycle which I've had since '78. It still runs well but needs a paint job for its 32nd birthday.

One of the coolest cars I had was a '65 Pontiac Le mans (Family man's GTO). It had a 326 cu. in V8. I did a lot of work on it to get it back in good shape but it needed too much and had to sell it.

Now you really got my curiosity up. How can you word Muscle Car wrong enough to get a violation? That seems pretty innocent to me. Anyway, I have a Ford Focus. Goes from 0 to 60 in about three days.

I wouldn't call it a muscle car, and it was kind of beat up, but I had a 1967 Camero convertible. Wonderful in the summer, but the top leaked and let in too much cold air for driving in the winter. I have part ownership of two old cars, one is an Edsel and the other is a Studebaker.

A muscle car? Don't think so. We're not the muscle car types. But the nicest car we ever had was a '55 Buick hardtop, bought second-hand from the original owner. Turquoise with a white top, lots of chrome, with black nylon and white leather interior. It was a beaut!

Now we drive a '98 Honda CRV, bought new, and in excellent condition. It still has less than 40,000.K on it. Hubby, in his early seventies, claims it will last him the rest of his life. He has it - and himself - seen to regularly, so he may be right.

A 1995 Taurus at 108,000 miles. It will have to do me...the price of cars today costs more than my first house and just as much to run them. I can't live in a car. I don't need muscle just wheels.

Don't worry about violations...they get more stupid everday...I've gotten many, challenged them all and got nowhere. There is no democracy on this site...the Trolls win all the time. Best to ingnore them.

I never had a muscle car (I don't think a Rambler American or a Henry J counts)

But, my current transportation is an 1800 cc Road Star. It's got more muscle than I can fully explore. Cruising at 80 mph, it feels like there ought to be a least one more gear.

Currently a 1992 Toyota 4 Runner, 235000 miles.

Owned a 40 model Chevi, a Nash Metropolitan, '64 Ford PU, 70 Ford PU, 76 Ford PU, and Opel Cadet, an '84 Mercury, an 86 Mitzubishi Montero, and 87 Isuzu Trooper, and an 83 Ford F250 dooly flatbed in my life.

That F250 and the Mitzubishi Montero were each 'muscle' in their own ways I suppose.

Never had anything that would haul a heavier load than the F250 or anything that would climb out of a canyon better than the Montero.

Edit: Just had a V Notice and question deleted myself. And another post only a few below this one was gone when I clicked to answer.

Seems to be a trend.

My husband has a white Dakota pick up. I have a white Sport Dodge Caravan.

We bought both at the same time, new. in 1999, when my husband retired.

I haven't driven for 5 plus years due to health. The Van is only used to take me for medical check ups. It has less than 30,000 miles on it. It should last for the rest of my life.

My husbands truck has 50,000 miles, on it.

When we worked and traveled, we put that many miles or more on both of our vehicles each year and traded in every three years.

currently I drive a 2003 Impala (boring, but rides well)

first husband was a muscle car man--

68 Camaro - custom paint job and very very fast

67 Impala - custom paint job not quite as fast as the Camaro

57 Chevy - have a picture of my oldest son - looks like he's grabbing gears - another custom paint job and pretty fast for 20+ years old

I used to have an Olds 442 - talk about scoot and root !!

driving down the road one day, talking to a friend, happened to look at speedometer - doing 125 mph !! felt like we were going about 60 - loved that car !!

We had a 1960 Chevy Impala with "4 on the floor" that was quite the hot rod. Don't think it meets the definition of muscle car but that's a close as I got.

You look just like a gal I knew from the mountains! What a gal she is! Muscle car...Hell yes! Chrysler Crossfire with a V-8...hot as hell, convertable...now have Mercedes S500...that thing may not be a muscle car, but it sure can move! and move fast! It also can drink gas like it is going out of style! Now that I have grown old, I make it a rule never to go faster than 150 - 155....safety first! PHil

I didn't see the other question. Sorry you got a violation. I drive a Saturn. My favorite was my GMC Caballero. It was the only 8 cylinder car I ever had. I got both of my tickets in that car, both for speeding. It got totaled in a car accident. I was rear ended. The big car saved me.

Gas runs $2.89 a gallon in my area and my eyesight isn't what it was so now I utilize "Public Transportation" when I need to travel locally.

My favorite car was my 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible with a 4 speed on the floor. I was sick when I had to give it up.

I drive a 97 Nissan pickup, which gets me around very well and hauls anything I need to haul, like gravel, composted manure, and any antique bigger that I can carry that I might buy. My husband has a 2000 Nissan Maxima, that I don't haul any manure or gravel in, he won't let me, and only small antiques and groceries!

used to always have cars but since i take my folks every where, i bought a mini van, it sits a little higher and so much easier for them to get in and out, since they have a hard time bending low to sit in a car. 1999 windstar, time for a newer fan, it only has 80 thousand, but i would like something newer
